MLB 13 Cover Showdown Has Buster Posey Wishing Upon a World Series Trophy

And I swear I didn't make a word of that up.

There are times where you think a particular publicity stunt is beyond a publisher or studio but are blissfully reminded of the obvious at times. At first, seeing this MLB 13: The Show “Cover Showdown” video which has MVP Buster Posey wishing upon his World Series trophy to be the next cover athlete made me think this was EA’s doing.

But no, MLB 13: The Show is from SCE San Diego and arriving on PS3 and PS Vita on March 5th 2013.

Alright then.

Whether you like baseball or not, MLB: The Show is quite the game series, with MLB 12: The Show scoring quite high when it released last year on PS3 (the Vita version did slightly less but still good). So there’s no doubt in my mind that SCE can deliver a compelling experience.

The question is: Will Buster Posey finally get that jet-ski he wants for his birthday?

The tension is killing me.
