Warface Closed Beta Commences, New Trailer Released

War. Hoo. Yeah, what is it good for?

Crytek has begun a closed beta for it’s Western version of Crytek Kiev’s Warface, a free to play online FPS which has been running roughshod over Russia when it first released and notching up an impressive following that ranged in the millions.

Now the game is poised to take on the Western markets. Players can head here for a chance to be a part of the closed beta, and get a one-up on everyone else in terms of game knowledge.

Warface was announced for release in the West in August 2011. It has already been released in South Korea and Taiwan in February 2012 thanks to Nexon, and will see release in the United States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Turkey courtesy of Trion Worlds.

What exactly makes it better than the next FPS, besides scaling extremely well on CryEngine 3? For that, you’ll need to check out the closed beta and eventually the full game when it releases.
