Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Trailer Leaked, October 29th Release Date Confirmed

Even Blackbeard himself doesn't dare cross our feisty new protagonist.

What better way to dispel any misgivings about your latest title then to have Blackbeard himself talking up your protagonist? Of course, the action dictating the leaked first trailer for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is of interest as well.

In the trailer, we come to terms with the newest protagonist, an Assassin described as a fierce and clever pirate captain shrouded in mystery.

Aspects of gun-fighting, new combat moves and dual wielding swords can also be seen in the trailer along with swimming underwater and exploring ship wreckage. The trailer seems to hype up the women of the era as well, before ending with the traditional hidden blade assassination.

Finally, we get a confirmed release date as Black Flag looks to release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 29th 2013. The PS3 version is already confirmed as having 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay.

Ubisoft hasn’t given out many details regarding the newest game in the series, but we do know that it will be handled by a relatively new development team.
