LulzSec member arrested for attacking Sony and Nintendo websites

They allegedly hacked a bunch of websites.

LuzSec, the hacker team, that caused havoc back on plenty of websites in 2011, is almost disbanded with the capture of one more member.

Ryan Ackroyd is based in England and few members captured earlier were also based from the same country. It’s interesting to note that Ryan Cleary was the mastermind behind the entire operation which has been all but stopped.

He attacked Sony and Nintendo websites in 2011 and the team later said they were fans of Nintendo and ceased attacks on them. Ackroyd is 26-years-old and will be sentenced on May 14, along with his mates.

The other hackers that were captured are named Jake Davis, Mustafa Al-Bassam and Ryan Clearly.

Sony was the target of a massive hack but it’s not clear if they were the same team to hack the PSN, as Sony had a beef with Anonymous which is another hacker group.
