UK retailer GAME is now selling digital copies of Wii U and 3DS titles. With the launch of Fire Emblem: Awakening for the Nintendo 3DS, customers can now buy a game and download it via the redemption code provided on the receipt from the retail store.
GAME, of course, had to obtain the rights to make this happen. But now you can just head over their site and download titles, with the redemption code arriving by mail. The advantage here is that you can games are pricd £5 cheaper than retail copies. In some instances, they’re even cheaper than Nintendo’s eShop prices.
Players can still avail of eShop cards with credit for Nintendo’s store. The second advantage with GAME’s method though is that you get to avoid providing your bank details. You know, for the more paranoid among us who like to avoid leaving paper trails.
