Reddit user CR4ZY0WN3R, who is really Terraria developer Redigit, revealed some more information about the upcoming update 2.1 heading to the PC version in an extensive FAQ. The update is planned for release near May end and features 235 new items. Also, it will be free.

Interestingly, the new content won’t be coming to the console releases due to its size. It also boils down to the decision of 505Games, who developed Terraria for the Xbox 360 and PS3. However, if fans are enthusiastic enough for the content coming on to consoles, they can drop a mail to 505Games and let them know.

Redigit also stated that they would be updating Terraria more in the coming days, with more future updates planned. On top of that, a sequel will be on its way when the original Terraria has stopped updating. Stay tuned for more details on the 2.1 update and its release near the end of May.
