Lost Planet 3 will allow players to explore the environments and isn’t an arcade game, Capcom Japan producer Andrew Szymanski has revealed.

The game won’t force players to complete levels and instead allow them to take their time and see what the world has to offer.

“When [Kenji] Oguro-san penned the first game, he wanted to keep players moving forward, and it was much more of an arcade-style game where you’d play the first level, beat the boss, play the second level, beat the boss,”  he told Polygon.

“He wanted to keep people rushing forward, and that’s why you had this ticking down timer of thermal energy, and when it hit zero you would die.”

The game comes out later this year for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
