New Dead or Alive 5 Project Teased by Team Ninja

Currently slated for release on Xbox 360 and PS3.

At a recent Playse event in Tokyo, Team Ninja revealed a teaser for a new Dead or Alive 5 project in the works for Xbox 360 and PS3. Not much was really shown – hence the word “teaser” – but Momiji, disciple to Ryu Hayabusa and his number one fangirl, is quite clearly featured. Check it out above.

The last time we heard any word on Dead of Alive was regarding Dead or Alive 5 Plus, which released for the PlayStation Vita on March 19th for North America. Could this new DOA5 project be an expanded port of the Plus version and or an all new expansion entirely?

Of course, it could be something beyond a simple fighting game – which is usually left to the Ninja Gaiden series – but we’re holding out interest. Dead or Alive 5 had a pretty average response when it came out but there are still plenty of fans. Stay tuned for more.
