Resident Evil Revelations Dev Diary Delves into Shock and Panic

Bringing us back to the realm of survival horror.

Capcom has revealed a new development diary for Resident Evil Revelations, wherein programmer Go Ozawa and main composer Kota Suzuki discuss their work on the game. Of course, we also get some information on how the music plays up the horror atmosphere, and adds to the experience. Check it out above.

As a port of the Nintendo 3DS title, Revelations features improved visuals, a new monster type, increased Raid Mode features and a new Infernal difficulty mode. It will return to the roots of Resident Evil and focus more on a survival horror experience rather than attempting anything Resident Evil 6 did (which still defies expectation).

The game takes place on the SS Queen Zenobia with Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine battling a new threat of aqua-related monstrosities. Resident Evil Revelations is set to release on May 21st in North America and May 24th in Europe for Xbox 360, Wii U, PC and PlayStation 3.
