Continuing information that director Tetsuya Nomura shared during E3 Square Enix Presents, it seems that Final Fantasy XV will feature some kind of support for Sony’s PlayStation Vita handheld. Making use of tablets and smartphones is also on the table, which makes us think that FFXV could use Microsoft’s SmartGlass in some way.

The combat, which sees a more real time action based hack-and-slash combat akin to Kingdom Hearts rather than the Active Time Based combat of Final Fantasy, allows you to climb on monsters during battle. You can also pilot different vehicles like tanks and magitek. Combat also allows you to switch between Noctis, Gladiolus, and Prompto during in combat.

Final Fantasy executive producer Shinji Hashimoto also promises more information in the coming days, and is looking for feedback on the action-oriented combat. The days of developing in secrecy are apparently over, according to Hashimoto, referencing entire years the game went without any information being revealed.
