Check out this new Ryse: Son of Rome Video

Ryse: Son of Rome has had a troubled history. Starting out as Codename Kingdoms, before being re-revealed as Ryse the next year, the title, which was originally meant to be an Xbox 360 title, before being moved to the Kinect and now, finally, Xbox One, the Crytek developed title hasn’t exactly faced the smoothest of roads to release. Even now, it seems to be met with more skepticism than anything, and with good reason, as the game, it seems, literally plays itself.

Now thankfully, this new video seems to put it in a better light. Of course, all the problems with the game still remain- such as its abundance of QTEs that literally complete themselves- but the game does look like something I’d want to at least check out, instead of just dismissing outright.

Ryse: Son of Rome is an Xbox One exclusive title developed by Crytek and published by Microsoft Game Studios.
