Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 will be released on September 24th in North America on Xbox 360, PC, PSP and PlayStation 3. The next iteration in Konami’s popular football simulation series will see a number of improvements, including Kojima Production’s FOX Engine which ups the visual quality significantly.
Not to mention improving the collision detection, player models, crowds and making the best damn grass you’ll see rendered in a sports game.
Of course, there will be other changes including the addition of TrueBall Tech that gives improved control over the ball, the Motion Animation Stability System or M.A.S.S. which influences the collision between players and Heart, which takes the player’s mental state into account for matches. So if a particular match is going wrong, the player could go into a funk until the other players rally around him and eventually make their ascent into victory.
We’ll see how it works when the game releases this September, especially since FIFA 14 will be releasing around the same time.
