EA Sports have released a new video for FIFA 14, further showing off the new and improved game mechanics. Most notably highlighted in the video are both the use of real soccer ball physics for ball movement, and the increased attention placed on nuanced aspects of soccer, such as ball protection, offensive pressure, and nearly-out-of-bounds ball saves.
There are several revamped aspects of this next FIFA installment, as well as one or two completely new additions. For one, career mode will now include a Global Scouting Network in most major countries, which means that players can hire a scout to keep their eyes peeled for hidden talent throughout the course of their season, and possibly recruit said talent if they are so inclined. Additionally the career mode “hub” has been retooled for overall easier navigation.
FIFA 14 will also see the implementation of a brand new game engine: Ignite Engine, for its release across PS4 and Xbox One. The Ignite Engine will include massively updated detail in game play and crowd mechanics. Aside from PS4 and Xbox One, FIFA 14 will also be released for Android, iOS, 3DS, PS2, PS2, PSP, PS Vita, Wii, Windows, and Xbox 360 in September of 2013.
