This year’s Xbox LIVE Summer of Arcade started yesterday, with a new event due every week on Wednesday. For those who do not know, Summer of Arcade is Microsoft’s annual showcase for the Xbox LIVE Arcade, and several smaller games have been spotlighted due to the month long promotion.

There will be four games being highlighted this year, according to the press release we got from Xbox; starting with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and concluding with the highly anticipated release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the licensed game published by Activision. Microsoft will be hosting a live streaming event each week to showcase the newest release.

Following therelease of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Charlie Murder will be released August 14, and Flashback will be released August 21, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows concluding the festival August 28.  For more information, you can visit the Summer of Arcade website, or use the hashtag #summerofarcade on social networking sites to keep up with the latest buzz.

Like last year, Microsoft Studios has teamed up with several popular YouTube Gamers to host a live streaming gameplay of above mentioned games. You can catch the live stream over here.
