We already know that Call of Duty: Ghosts, Infinity Ward’s next first person title in the commercially successful franchise, will be having a lot of its technology on the current generation of consoles (despite being a “heavily modified” engine that came into being from developing for next gen consoles).

However, when speaking to Kotaku, executive producer Mark Rubin stated that, “PC is taking a different tack from previous games [in the series]. Now, PC has its own set of assets. It’s going to look better than any Call of Duty we’ve ever made on PC.”

“[The team is] actually using an even higher version in many cases than the next-gen consoles, from a texture standpoint.”

Of course, we’re not sure it’s going to look any better than Battlefield 4, which will be optimized for Direct X 11.1 and AMD hardware – which should give it a boost on next gen consoles as well. Nonetheless, it’ll be something for PC gamers to look forward to when Call of Duty: Ghosts releases on November 5th worldwide.
