Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Goes Behind the Scenes with “Defy”

Defy the rules of society in Black Flag.

Ubisoft loves its live-action trailers, and the “Defy” trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is no exception. But have you ever wondered about the immense work and resources that went into creating that trailer? Even if not, Ubisoft has you covered with a Behind the Scenes video for the same that you can check out above.

Despite the ancestral story taking place before Assassin’s Creed III, the real world story continues the cataclysmic events of that game. Connor’s grandfather Edward Kenway takes centre stage as the no-good pirate Assassin exploring the high seas and raiding it. From whaling to attacking naval forts, there’s nothing outside of Kenway’s realm of ownership. Of course, the man has some mysteries surrounding him, but we’ll learn more later.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag releases on October 29th for Xbox 360, Wii U and PS3, with a PS4 release due on November 15th and an Xbox One and PC release happening in Q4 2013.
