Still preparing for battle, despite the release date for Battlefield 4 being almost two months away? Worry not – EA’s Peter Moore has recently announced that an open beta for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 will begin on October 1st.
Now here’s where things get weird: The open beta was announced for those who had pre-ordered the game three days ahead of the general public. Does this still apply and will said users be getting earlier access or is October 1st the day, while other users can get in on the game later? Regardless, despite a three day difference, the open beta means that any one can take part.
Battlefield 4 meanwhile will be releasing on October 29th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America. It will also be coming to the PS4 when the console launches on November 15th in North America and on November 29th in Europe. An Xbox One version will be released worldwide on November 22nd with the launch of the console.
