Gotta catch em all. Remember that phrase? Almost ubiquitous as Nintendo made Pokemon the market juggernaut that it became in the late ’90s. Over time, for a variety of reasons, the phrase was retired completely.

Not anymore. Today, Nintendo brought it back to Pokemon in grand fashion.

The ‘Gotta Catch ‘Em All’ Pokemon scavenger hunt begins today, an you can take part in it by watching the video above; essentially, somewhere in the video is hidden a clue that will register you for, and then unlock the rest of the hunt. You have to keep finding clues scattered all over, as they will win you merchandize, trading card booster packs, and even a 3DS XL.

The promotion is meant to promote the upcoming Pokemon X and Y for the Nintendo 3DS that launches October 12. There are a total of 216 prizes available, so this should make for some good viral marketing for the game in the lead up to its release.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y launch exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS soon. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more news.
