As of today the final specs for AMD’s next gen GPU chips have been confirmed by GDM.or.jp. Lets take a look at the specs of the Radeon R9 290 series, looking first at the R9 290, and then at the R9 290X.
As you can see below, both of these models include support DirectX 11.2, OpenGL 4.3, and the newest Mantle API, which will see it’s debut in Battlefield 4 come this December. You can expect the R9 290 GPU series to hit stores October 15th. The Radeon R9 290X Battlefield 4 bundle is currently available for pre order through several retails, including Newegg for a price of $729.99.
