The Day One update 1.50 for Sony’s PlayStation 4 is now live, allowing users to download it now and run it off of a USB drive for the console. This will allow you to save all the installation screens and thus, save time on installing the update when the PlayStation 4 launches. Head here to download the update, which weighs in at 308 MB.
The update will add several functions including Remote Play for the PS Vita, multi-user log-in, party chat, screenshot and video footage capture and spectating capabilities. It won’t be necessary for playing your console though, so if you want to default on the release for a day or so, you won’t have too many problems.
The PlayStation 4 is currently set to launch on November 15th in North America and will be available in Europe on November 29th. Interestingly, the console – sporting a 500 GB HDD – will actually have 408 GB usable free space. Stay tuned for more details as we head closer to its launch in North America.
