Watch Dogs WIP Cutscene: Motion Builder Footage Versus Final Product

Aiden Pearce. Before and after.

Posted By | On 17th, Nov. 2013

A new work-in-progress cutscene for the upcoming Watch Dogs shows us the stark contrast between the initial stages of production, where motion animation is implemented, and how the final product comes across. The amount of work put into the resulting cutscene is impressive. Check it out above.

Watch Dogs was originally scheduled to release for current-gen and next-gen consoles around this time. However, Ubisoft Montreal recently delayed the title to early 2014. It’s a shame, since the game has been shaping up so well but we would guess that it was to further polish its mechanics.

Set in Chicago, Watch Dogs follows the journey of Aiden Pearce as he works to hunt down those who have hurt his family. Pearce’s growing sense of paranoia and need to keep his family safe are set against the backdrop of a new City OS that can be manipulated to spy on any citizen, trip roadblocks and even shut down trains for quick escape. Watch Dogs is set to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U.
