Company of Heroes 2 (5)

Company of Heroes 2 will see a pretty big boost in content with a standalone multiplayer expansion out in June. Titled “The Western Front Armies”, it will retail for $19.99 while each army will be available separately for $12.99 apiece.

Executive Producer at Relic Entertainment Greg Wilson stated that, “We know how much fans love the setting of the original game and we have responded to their request to revisit the Western Front. By offering Western Front focused content to Company of Heroes 2, we are giving players a brand new set of tactical options that significantly expand their multiplayer experience. At the same time, it has never been easier for new players to get access to our vast multiplayer community.“

The Western Front Armies will have two new armies with the US Forces and the German Oberkommando West. THey’ll each have their own new weapons, infantry, upgrades, vehicles and much more along with eight new maps set on the Western Front. There will also be a new progression system for other unique content within the game.

Interestingly, even if you purchase The Western Front Armies expansion, you’ll still be able to play the 31 maps and 1000 community maps available online. Intrigued? Check it out in June.
