The Elder Scrolls Online

The Elder Scrolls Online has recently been updated with the 1.0.6 patch but the game has been crumbling thanks to an annoying bug that allows gold and item duplication. Several players have talked about this ruining the game’s economy and now ZeniMax Online Studios is inviting forum users to name and shame those who may offer gold spamming opportunities.

“We request that anyone who has received a private message they believe to be from a gold spammer to post the sender’s username as a comment in this thread.

“Please note that our Community Code of Conduct does prohibit naming and shaming. However, in an effort to expedite the process of identifying and banning the spammers’ accounts, we are making an exception for this situation. We will investigate each alleged spammer account individually to avoid false reports.”

Currently, ZeniMax has disabled private messages in order to cut off gold spammers. Will it work? We’ll find out in the coming weeks.
