The PlayStation 4 will be receiving a new system update in the coming weeks. Dubbed update 1.71, the official PlayStation Twitter revealed just what it would do.

“PS4 system software update 1.71 coming soon, will improve software stability of some features. Reminder: Activate your automatic download.”

Doesn’t sound like much but it is just a small software update. You can expect deeper firmware updates after E3 since Sony will be launching PlayStation Now this Summer.

Speaking of E3 2014, Sony is currently prepping for its media briefing where it’s expected they will reveal big games. Rumours also indicated that it would be revealing new PS3 and PS4 models at the briefing along with footage from existing titles like The Order: 1886 and DriveClub. As stated earlier, PlayStation Now will likely be present along with Project Morpheus and some exclusive TV content for the PS4.
