Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

New details for Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare were released and revealed what we can expect in terms of the story and movement mechanics.

In terms of story, you’ll be playing as Jack Mitchell, who is recruited into Atlas Corporation run by Jonathan Irons. The story will take place over 10 years of Mitchell’s life and Irons will be a central character throughout it all. There’s a female character present as well though her identity is yet to be revealed.

As for the EXO suit you’ll have in-game, you’ll be able to unlock special points to upgrade it between levels. You’ll be happy to know that the suit will have multiple abilities, so you’ll often replay missions to unlock everything. The EXO suit will allow for enhanced movement, which means longer sliding, a higher jump and the ability to dash, which is good for avoiding gunfire. The mechanic is reportedly similar to the Strider Titan from Titanfall. It can even be done in mid-air every few seconds.

Finally, a tutorial level is included in a multiplayer map which contains many maps and a more intuitive enemy AI. It reportedly feels more lifelike and less canned than previous Call of Duty titles.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare releases on November 4th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii U and PC. Stay tuned for more information.
