Uncharted 4 A Thief's End

With under a month to go before The Last of Us Remastered is released on the PlayStation 4, the team at Naughty Dog are hard at work to wrap it up. Jason Gregory who is the Lead Programmer at Naughty Dog revealed that the title is shaping up really well and the team is crazy busy in development.

“Team working like crazy to finish #thelastofusremastered… can confirm rumors: TLOU/R for #PS4 is definitely impressive! :),” he tweeted. He also revealed that the development team has not shifted to C++11, which is the latest version of C++, a programming language that is widely used in video games. But they might consider moving if it only benefits their games.  The new version supposedly improves performance, specifically the computation speed.

“We haven’t made a full switch to C++11… and in true, highly pragmatic ND style we’ll do it only if/as it benefits our games,” he revealed.

On a related noted, Bryan Singh who is the Game designer at Naughty Dog explained why Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will not be coming to the PlayStation 3. “Only announced for PS4. We build games specifically for each console so we can get the most out of the hardware,” he tweeted. Seems to be logical reason, after all they won’t be able achieve that stunning visual effect on the PlayStation 3.
