It’s a shame that EA chose to show off The Sims 4 in such explicit detail at its E3 media briefing this year. If it hadn’t been surrounded by the sheer lack of information and gameplay details on more anticipated releases like Mass Effect 4, Mirror’s Edge and Criterion’s next project, we might have been more forgiving of its quirky style.
Regardless, The Sims 4 will look to integrate smarter and weirder Sims in an attempt to craft more involved stories for players to experience, as the above trailer more than ably indicates. Yes, you can kill Sims with the sheer power of laughter – thus prompting Death to intervene – so if nothing else, you can turn Simsville in to your own personal Final Destination simulator. We can hardly wait.
