Hyrule Warriors Trailer Showcases Midna and Her Trusted Wolf Steed

Twilight Princess in full effect.

After two original characters were introduced in the previous trailers, Nintendo finally unveils another classic character for Hyrule Warriors, it’s upcoming hack and slash crowd brawler set in the Zelda universe. This new trailer focuses on Midna, Link’s cohort from Twilight Princess.

Midna isn’t alone of course as she’s riding on Link’s Wolf form during combat and using her hair as a lethal weapon. After psychokinesis and those damn over-sized beetles, it’s great to just see a Zelda character walloping their enemies. A shot at the end also shows Midna using a hook-shot to incapacitate a bigger boss before wailing on it further. We can settle for one annoying character (Agitha) if it means we have a large selection of awesome characters like Midna to play as.

Hyrule Warriors will be releasing in Japan next month for the Wii U while North America and Europe receive it in September. Stay tuned for more.
