Even though it’s still August, the Xbox One’s September update is now available. Several new features have been added as a result, including a very particular one that pertains to Bungie’s Destiny.

From today onwards, you’ll now be able to pre-load digital games that you’ve pre-ordered. This was revealed somewhat early yesterday when Microsoft confirmed pre-loading for Destiny when it releases on September 9th. Other changes include the Media Player app supporting more file formats and USB devices, posting statuses and comments from SmartGlass, OneGuide and voice support for other countries, a “leader” feature for the Party app (so everyone knows who to blame when things go wrong) and much more.

You can check out the full notes on the update here. Microsoft has outdone itself with significant updates each month – what will October hold, especially with so many major releases happening? We’ll have to wait and find out so stay tuned.
