Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Features P.T.’s Lisa as Decoy Gadget

Be afraid (or distracted at least).

A new video has emerged for Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain which features Big Boss using a decoy gadget. If you look closely – and pay attention to the announcers in the video – you’ll notice that the gadget is actually Lisa from P.T., the playable teaser for Silent Hills. Since Kojima Productions is also working on Silent Hills, it’s an interesting little nod. Check it out above.

The decoy gadget is used to distract guards and can even be used to knock enemies off ledges since it’s essentially a pop-up balloon. Granted, it’s not even half as terrifying as the real Lisa but it’s hokey enough to get some one’s attention. Snake can deploy more than one decoy at a time to create the army of Lisas that is the stuff of nightmares.
