After reports emerged from IGROMIR 2014 about Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes receiving a release date on Pc, Konami has officially announced that it will be arriving for Steam on December 18th 2014. Along with an online global ranking system and previously released DLC, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes on PC will feature an increased number of character models, improved shadow resolution, a greater number of simultaneous light sources and resolutions up to 4K.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes released earlier this year for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. It received praise for its open world elements and the freedom with which players could complete missions but was criticized for the relative pacing and short length. Considering it set a strong standard for visuals in the FOX Engine, it will be interesting to see what the PC version looks like.

The epilogue of the two games, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, will also be arriving on PC though it will be out on consoles first in 2015.
