The PlayStation 4’s biggest system update till now, namely update 2.0 or “Masamune” finally has a release date.

According to a tweet from PlayStation Europe, “PS4 software update ‘Masamune’ (2.0) available Tuesday 28 October. Includes SharePlay, USB Music player + more!”

Some of the other new features for system update 2.0 include the ability to change the background wallpaper, find players you may know in the “What’s New” section, a revamped content area and library, improvements to live broadcasting, and much much more. Simply put, this is the update fans have been waiting a long time for – since the launch of the console itself to be more accurate.

On the games side though, this season seems somewhat barren for Sony. After some success with Destiny, the PS4 has suffered from a horrible DriveClub launch (which still faces problems all these weeks later). Only LittleBigPlanet 3 remains on the first party front and it will be out this November.
