EA really wants you to play Battlefield 4. So much so that it’s offering 168 hours of free game time to PC players via Origin. As soon as you download the game and start playing, the timer will count down over the course of 168 hours. In order to download the game, simply head over here. You will need Origin installed of course.

The game time offer is part of a promotion for Battlefest 2 wherein Battlefield 4 players can take part to earn Battlepacks, double XP and much more. Those who wish to continue playing Battlefield 4 past the official game time can take heart – your progress will carry over into the full game should you decide to buy it.

Battlefield 4 has had some major problems since release what with the bugs, server issues and other glitches effectively miring it in woe. Over the past year it’s improved to a very playable state. The next iteration of the franchise, Visceral Games’ Battlefield: Hardline will be releasing in March 2015.
