Just like the warriors of the ancient world from which the name is drawn, Shinobi602 is always ready to pop up and strike when you least expect it.  Shinobi602, the “insider”, who seems to know everything there is to know about upcoming games before its ever made known, has taken to the dedicated Mass Effect topic on NeoGaf, bringing with him some interesting bits of information that, if true, hold some real promise for Bioware’s upcoming space opera.

Speaking with confidence, Shinobi602 revealed that Mass Effect won’t be a prequel. He also revealed that the game will more bigger than the previous games. “However it’ll be much more open than previous ME games. The number of explorable planets they’re targeting alone is impressive to say the least. One of the new game’s core pillars is ‘epic scale’. ME1’s uncharted worlds done right: strong exploration, sense of discovery, beautiful unique lands. So many awesome additions to the formula.”

This all sounds promising and is honestly what everyone has been expecting at this point, so whilst Shinobi’s words are often accurate predictions of things to come, this seems more like reiterations of things that are most likely going to be included as the next step in the series evolution. This does however point towards the game not being a prequel, something that many fans had expected to see. But stepping back in the chronology whilst introducing new and improved gameplay seems counter intuitive at this point.
