PS4 Xbox one

The third annual GDC State of the Industry study is out and it’s revealed that development on the PS4 and Xbox One is on the rise.

After surveying more than 2000 developers across North America on various topics, it was revealed that 26 percent of devs are working on PS4 games (compared to 14 percent last year); 22 percent are working on Xbox One games (compared to 12 percent last year); and 29 percent and 24 percent believe their next game will come to the PS4 and Xbox One respectively, up from 20 and 17 percent the year before.

PC is still the platform of choice for many developers are 56 percent of surveyed developers said they’re currently working on PC titles while 53 percent expects their next game to arrive on PC.

There’s quite a lot to the study and it’s worth checking out for noting the increasing revenue from micro-transactions and DLC. Make sure to stay tuned for the Game Developers Conference in March for more information on upcoming titles.
