In the past few months we have seen varying reasons from several developers regarding the lack of Xbox One version for their games. Some have stated that the Xbox One’s parity clause as one of their reasons whereas others have simply appreciated the approach Sony have taken with indie developers and their games.

Adding to a long list of indie games that won’t launch either momentarily or forever is Grimm Bros’ Dragon Fin Soup. The game is coming out on a plethora of platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, MAC, Linux and Windows platform. So what is the reason behind the lack of an Xbox One version?

Hunter Strutz and Ash Monif from Grimm Bros stated that although they are in talks with Microsoft about a potential Xbox One version, they are not able to reach an agreement with them yet. “We’re in talks with Microsoft, but we have not reached an agreement yet. Microsoft dev kits are hard to come by, but who knows, maybe we will eventually come to Xbone,” the duo said to GamingBolt.

So there is potential for an Xbox One version in the future but at the moment it seems that yet another indie game will be a PlayStation console exclusive. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for our full interview.
