New Update for Dungeon Defenders II Now Available, Adds Hard Mode

Among other things.

The original Dungeon Defenders was a great game, a unique mix of tower defense, MOBA, and a loot game; its sequel promises to be every bit as addictive as the first game was. GamingBolt enjoyed the time it spent with the sequel (which is currently still in active development) immensely, and it appears the game is only set to get even better- following last month’s patch, another new update for the game has been released.

Like last month’s update, this month’s patch is also feature rich and brings a lot with it to the table. The headlining feature is a Hard Mode, which lets players take on more difficult versions of stages for greater rewards, as well as player vote kicking to better manage griefers in game. Furthermore, Foundation: Part 2 adds new weapons, improves the inventory management system (with requested-by-everyone ‘sell all’ feature), and further balances the game.

The next update for the game, we are told, will introduce, among a raft of other features, a pet system.

Although we still don’t know when Dungeon Defenders II will ‘officially’ release, you don’t have to wait if you want to play it- it can be bought on Steam Early Access on PC right now for $25.
