Sony are looking to strengthen the security of PS4’s game streaming service, PlayStation Now. According to a job listing posted by Sony, the company is looking for Infrastructure Security Engineer that will help make the network more secure.

According to the job listing, the candidate would need to develop and implement automated mitigations for security related attacks, Interact with operational teams to educate and support analysis of security related alerting and response activities, ct as technical leader for security incident management and related forensics analysis and Play a hands-on technical role in developing and implementing detection capabilities for indicators of compromise.

Late last year Sony and Microsoft were both attacked by hackers resulting into several issues such as down time on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. As a company, Sony is expected to take these steps so hopefully this will further make online gaming more secured.
