Mad Max

Mad Max is already confirmed to be a trying and challenging open world, when it launches later this year; but now it appears that, in addition to trying to survive all the hostile camps and bases in the post apocalyptic wasteland, you will also have to contend with a far greater enemy- your own vulnerability. Factors like managing hunger, or finding gas to keep your weapons running, will all come into play in the game, Avalanche Studios confirmed on Twitter.

They also confirmed that the driving model for the cars will neither be strictly realistic, nor purely arcadey. Instead, it will be somewhere in the middle, though Avalance (naturally) thinks that vehicles will be very satisfying to drive in the game.

Mad Max launches later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is going to launch alongside the reboot of the classic movie, and is being made by the same folks who make the Just Cause games, so there is reason to suspect it will be good. Stay tuned.
