I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars: Battlefront remains one of the most hyped games of the year, and DICE continues to interact with its fans, engaging in dialog with them to keep them involved in the development process, while also trying to clear any misconceptions they might have about the upcoming reboot of the classic Star Wars shooter.

Firstly, they confirmed that the love them/hate them furry Ewoks will ‘100% be on Endor’ in the game; Endor was the first location that was ever revealed and confirmed for Star Wars: Battlefront, and Ewoks so far had been conspicuous by their absence. If you felt strongly about that (good or bad), well, you no longer have any reason to. Take that as you will.

They also confirmed that while the game will indeed have 12 multiplayer maps, as previously announced, the distribution is not three maps per planet as players had automatically assumed.

“Fairly sure we never said ‘3 maps per planet’ I know we said 12 multiplayer maps with even more if you include missions.”

“The maps will offer a nice mix of locations and environments. Stay tuned as we reveal new maps, modes, etc. in the months ahead.”

Star Wars: Battlefront launches later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Stay tuned.
