The latest UK game charts are out, courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track, and while CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still the top selling game, Nintendo’s Splatoon has seen an incredibly strong debut. In fact, the Wii U title has set a new record, becoming the biggest new IP to launch for Nintendo in the UK since Zombi U in November 2012. It’s also the fastest selling Wii U game in the UK till now and that’s saying something considering its multiplayer shooter roots.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is in third place followed by FIFA 15 and Farming Simulator 15. Battlefield: Hardline is in sixth place, moving one place up from the previous week, while Project CARS has moved down to seventh place.
Destiny is in eighth place followed by Mortal Kombat X at ninth and Minecraft: Xbox Edition in tenth. It’s a fairly similar chart to the previous few months save for The Witcher 3 and Splatoon up top.
