Konami’s Meta Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has been confirmed to support Nvidia GameWorks on PC. Though the features have yet to be revealed explicitly, Nvidia is working closely with the development team for adding the various effects.

What we do know from Nvidia’s official announcement is that shadows, lighting and terrain rendering have proven to be a big challenge and their quality will be aided by Nvidia GameWorks. Now the question remains as to what kind of performance drops we can expect from GameWorks and how AMD Radeon users will fare.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is the penultimate conclusion to the saga that began in Ground Zeroes and sees Big Boss out for vengeance several years later. It will be out on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 on September 1st with the PC version releasing on September 15th. What are your thoughts on Nvidia lending its support?
