Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt RED recently had a strong critical and commercial success with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and while its next venture Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be revealed till 2017, the developer is very excited internally about its potential.

Co-founder Marcin Iwinski recently spoke to IGN about the same and revealed that, “The core team is working The Witcher 3′s expansions, but more and more people are moving over onto Cyberpunk.”

Why tease Cyberpunk 2077 if it was going to take so long to release? According to Iwinski, the initial teaser came about to test the reaction of gamers.

“We released the Cyberpunk teaser trailer because we wanted to see how gamers felt about it. We were super excited about the project internally, but what if it wasn’t the right thing [for us]? But the response has been incredible. Now it’s just up to us to deliver. We’re hard at work on it.”

What are your thoughts on the long wait till Cyberpunk 2077’s reveal? Let us know in the comments.
