A new gameplay trailer for FIFA 16 has just landed that focuses on the tweaks Electronic Arts has made to bring a bit more realism to the long running series. The trailer starts out just showing how the attack and midfield features work in the game, but then goes a bit deeper by showing the stripped down version where the players are really just a couple of solid colored shapes.
The video is also narrated by a number of the devs who are working on the game. As is the case with all the Electronic Arts sports video games, realism is the key. The motto for this department has long been “if it’s in the game, its in the game.”
Of course this version of the game does have a wholesale change in one regard. For the first time in the history of this long running series, gamers will be able to pick up a controller and play as their favorite women’s World Cup team. This has been a big feature of prior videos, but this particular gameplay trailer is focusing more on the mechanics inside the game, no matter what team you’re playing as.
FIFA 16 is out September 26 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The improvements above are coming to new-gen versions, as well as PC.
