Need for Speed 2015

The glory days of Need for Speed were with Need for Speed Underground, which was a game that focused on the tuner import culture, featuring street level cars with loads of customizations and tune ups, leading to a thrilling scene of street racing. Over the years, these aspects of the series were increasingly de-emphasized, until they were almost completely missing in any meaningful capacity. But now, with this year’s Need for Speed, the series returns to its Underground roots, with full fledged customization.

“Fans have been asking for customization for a really long time, so we’re really excited about bringing back really deep customisation, both visual, performance and handling as well,” Producer Leanne Loombe from Ghost Games told GameReactor.

Glad to see it is back. I would be so interested in this game, if only it were not always online. That bit of news killed it for me.

Need for Speed launches on Xbox One, PS4, and PC later this year.
