EA recently revealed its financial earnings for Q1 FY 2016 ending on June 30th and COO Peter Moore fielded questions during an earnings call regarding future releases. One of those is DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront which is enjoying “extremely strong pre-orders” at the moment.

When asked how the pre-order numbers compared to Battlefield Hardline, Moore focused on how digital pre-orders are becoming a better indicator. “More and more, as we see digital start take a hold with our consumers, that pre-orders become less of a key indicator.” He didn’t answer just how many pre-orders Battlefront has at the moment.

It also seems that the Gamescom showing planned for next week will be “pivotal” for Star Wars Battlefront due to it being open to the public. Moore says that, “We expect to see a tremendous response from that.”

Star Wars Battlefront releases on November 17th for PS4, Xbox and PC. Stay tuned for more details as Gamescom approaches.
