It seems like once a week, we get a bit of an update on the ongoing development for Mass Effect: Andromeda. We’ve heard about how hard it is to put an alien race together, as well as get a look at the illustrated view of the armor that is going to be featured in the game. This time, we’ve gotten a bit of a hint about a character that or characters that have been in previous versions and might make an appearance in Andromeda.
Mass Effect producer Michael Gamble was asked on Twitter about whether or not Asari Dancers were going to be included in the game. The question was posed as a joke, but Gamble answered in a way that might leave the door open in the future. The producer said that the person should “never say never.” On the other hand, he apparently shut the door on the game coming to the Wii U, though it seems like that door should have been shut a while ago. Another Twitter user asked Gamble flat out whether the game was going to come to Nintendo’s current console. While he didn’t specifically say no, he reiterated that it was going to be available on next generation consoles and the PC.
In other development news, Jos Hendriks has been talking on Twitter about a task he has that is really boring, but also necessary. Hendriks said that he is working to document on what is being built in the game. While that job isn’t full of action and adventure, it is something that the developers couldn’t do without. Among other things, he commented that this is how people who are writing the game don’t accidentally give away secrets too early. Hendriks believes documentation is important when it comes to a big title like Mass Effect: Andromeda even if it’s not exciting.
