Kojima Productions’ Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is a week away from release but it’s already receiving universal praise from every critical outlet. Though there’s still a ways to go before the rest of the world gets its hands on the game, some new footage has emerged showcasing Snake’s infiltration skills as well as the Fulton Recovery System. Nothing we haven’t seen before but if you’re hard up for new gameplay, then this is the way to go.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain takes place several years after Ground Zeroes and purports to showcase the transformation of Venom Snake to the villainous Big Boss. The game’s story-telling and subject matter have been praised profusely but you can bet it will be some time before all the pieces are effectively pieced together in the Metal Gear universe.

Releasing on September 1st, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the new gameplay footage? Let us know in the comments.
