Since the beta for PS4’s 3.00 system update went live, we’ve been hearing quite a bit about what it is going to bring. Now there’s actually a video posted to YouTube that walks us through a number of the biggest changes that PS4 users are likely going to love. There have already been some smaller changes, such as the ability to actually decide what format you want to see your pictures in. The video shows off a few of the features that are going to have a slightly larger impact.

Embedding, for the moment has been disabled by the user’s request so you’re going to have to actually go over to YouTube to watch the video but it’s worth extra link click. The video shows off some features we’d been hearing about, including the ability to stream videos to YouTube as well as Twitch. There is also the ability to actually upload short videos (no more than 10 seconds) to Twitter. Right now, streaming can only be done to Twitch and the only thing you can upload to Twitter are screenshots.

There is also going to be a new “communities” tab, which underlines just how much Sony is focusing on the social aspects of the Internet with this update. The 3.00 version of the PS4 system software is still in the beta so we’re likely not going to get to see these features on a wide scale for a little bit yet. The company has not said when exactly it will be releasing the update to the general public.
