Now that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain has hit the market, there are plenty of people who wonder if this might be the last chapter. That is one of the reasons there has been so much excitement over a supposed lost or removed chapter in the game as well as story DLC. For its part, it’s no real surprise that Konami believes it can actually keep the game series going strong even without the famous director.

Graham Day, Konami’s Community Manager in the UK recently had an interview with Game On Daily  where he talked about the fact that Konami is confident that they can continue on with the Metal Gear Solid series without Kojima. Day added that Konami understands just how important to the series Kojima’s touch was and it appears the company will be taking it a bit slowly when it comes to putting together another game in this series.

Day also acknowledge the fact that there has been a lot of talk about Konami making a wholesale move towards the mobile platform. Some people have wondered whether the company might basically leave the console gaming world in the dust and go almost exclusively to iOS and Android. Day attempted to assure everyone that the firm does still have a commitment to core gamers and will continue to focus on titles for consoles. Check out the video below and get a look at what appears to be in the cards moving forward for Konami.
